Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within the Washington DC metropolitan area and regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging system (ELD) documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and meet delivery timelines
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC traffic regulations and area geography
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
