Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) on designated routes
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and documentation
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and compliance records
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes considering traffic and delivery windows
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Bay Area geography and routes
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends as needed
