Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) on regional routes within Texas and surrounding states
- Adhere to DOT regulations including HOS compliance, pre/post-trip inspections, and proper documentation
- Load/unload cargo with precision and maintain accurate delivery records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with company safety protocols
- Utilize electronic logging systems (ELD) for accurate mileage tracking
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass DOT physical examination
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and overnight trips
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
