Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Strict adherence to assigned routes and schedules
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip bus inspections
- Maintain a positive, orderly environment on the bus
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and dispatch
- Follow all federal/state transportation regulations and FWISD policies
- Assist students with special needs as required
- Complete incident reports and documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Ability to obtain CDL with Passenger/School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum age 21 years old
