Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional and long-haul routes
- Maintain meticulous vehicle inspection logs and pre-trip/post-trip documentation
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and delivery timelines
- Handle specialized freight including temperature-controlled and hazardous materials (with endorsements)
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading interactions
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for accurate record-keeping
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and ELD systems
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel overnight and work flexible schedules
