Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or B trucks on local and regional delivery routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring cargo security and safety during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Keep the vehicle clean, both inside and out, and perform minor maintenance checks.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work night shift hours (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Valid state-issued ID and Social Security Card.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
