Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on highways and local routes within the Miami area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing methods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and driver logs as per DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies to minimize risk.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT Medical Card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, cargo securement, and safety regulations.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
