Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes within Kentucky and surrounding states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Adhere to DOT regulations and HOS guidelines for maximum compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Document delivery paperwork and resolve any transit discrepancies promptly
- Participate in quarterly safety training and performance reviews
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate warehouse equipment
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of regional geography and route optimization
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent required
