Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in and around the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring secure placement and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage using ELD technology.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and shippers during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and fleet management regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the State of California.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of Los Angeles area roads and traffic patterns.
- Basic computer skills for logging and documentation purposes.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items and working in various weather conditions.
