Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload shipments with proper documentation and verification
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and route optimization
- Represent company professionally in client interactions and at delivery sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Florida highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
