Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery records.
- Navigate complex routes and traffic patterns in the San Diego area and beyond.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and vehicle maintenance.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
- U.S. citizenship or valid legal working status (H-2B Visa sponsorship may be available).
- Basic math skills for accurate cargo documentation.
