Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Ohio and surrounding states
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques (no touch freight available)
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse staff
- Manage delivery timelines and resolve route challenges proactively
- Maintain clean driving record and professional appearance
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean 3-year MVR
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment)
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- No preventable accidents or serious violations in past 5 years
- Flexibility for overnight regional trips (1-3 nights/week)
