Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure cargo safety and vehicle mechanical integrity.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (HazMat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Achieved a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
