Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across designated routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance documentation
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs (ELD)
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Assist in resolving delivery discrepancies and customer inquiries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (A or B) with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and ELD systems
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
