Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to DOT regulations
- Transport goods and materials to designated locations on strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Document delivery details and maintain accurate logs using electronic logging systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of cargo with appropriate equipment
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience preferred
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
