Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across regional routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and HOS compliance for all operations
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and delivery schedules
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques per company standards
- Document delivery receipts and resolve minor shipment discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members during transit
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD) and compliance systems
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and customer service orientation
