Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight between Washington DC and North Carolina using company-provided trucks
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
- Uphold strict safety standards for all operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC/North Carolina roadways
- Knowledge of HAZMAT regulations (certification preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
