Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for timely deliveries across San Diego and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize route efficiency and on-time performance
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with all federal/state transportation regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass mandatory drug screening and background check
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and DOT regulations
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and climb into/out of trailer beds
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends
