Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes within New York metropolitan area
- Complete timely deliveries while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
- Accurately maintain delivery logs and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Represent Metro Freight Solutions with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and weight distribution
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overtime
- Experience with refrigerated or flatbed cargo preferred
