Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional routes covering Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and pre/post-trip inspection protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques using straps, chains, and tarps
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging system records
- Provide exceptional customer service during dock interactions and delivery confirmations
- Perform routine equipment maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean 3-year MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Hazmat placarding and regulations (preferred)
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) operation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and attention to safety protocols
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend deliveries as needed
