Responsibilities
- Safely transport freight across New York state and regional corridors
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (eIFR, bills of lading)
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and NYC traffic laws
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery and fuel efficiency
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Operate specialized equipment (flatbed, dry van, or refrigerated based on assignment)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- 2+ years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb equipment safely
- Pass TSA background check and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and infrastructure
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (training provided if needed)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight and weekend assignments
