Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight on time and in excellent condition.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and driver logs.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution and securing loads.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and weight regulations.
- Familiarity with navigation systems and GPS tracking.
