Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport goods between distribution centers and client locations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging system compliance
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Coordinate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and route efficiency
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of freight with appropriate equipment
- Adhere to all federal (FMCSA) and local transportation regulations
- Communicate professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Familiarity with Washington DC metropolitan area roadways
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Flexibility for occasional overnight trips
