Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 semi-trucks for regional routes within California
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain meticulous vehicle inspection logs
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Coordinate with dispatch for timely deliveries and pick-up scheduling
- Document all delivery paperwork accurately and submit daily reports
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Familiarity with California highway systems and mountainous routes
- Strong communication skills and time management abilities
- Flexibility to work occasional overnight shifts
