Responsibilities
- Safe operation of commercial vehicles for local/regional deliveries
- Pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintenance documentation
- On-time delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Electronic logging device (ELD) compliance and record-keeping
- Coordination with dispatch for route optimization and customer communication
- Secure loading/unloading of freight at client locations
- Incident reporting and proactive hazard identification
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of Indianapolis metro area and surrounding regions
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Smartphone proficiency for mobile app communications
