Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on local and regional routes within Boston and surrounding Massachusetts areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with FMCSA safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries and high satisfaction levels.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or road hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor duties.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service and time management skills.
