Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (53' dry van trailers)
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Load/unload freight with proper securement techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and route optimization tools
- Represent Express Logistics with professional conduct
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR/Regional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs
- Flexibility for occasional overnight stays
