Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) to transport goods within NYC and surrounding regions
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips to ensure mechanical safety and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatchers for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and NYC traffic laws
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years recent commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC metropolitan area geography
- Knowledge of cargo securement and HAZMAT basics
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for early morning/night shifts
