Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload freight efficiently and safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and mileage records in compliance with FMCSA standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients at each stop, ensuring packages and goods are delivered correctly.
- Navigate complex routes and manage time effectively to ensure on-time performance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience in a similar role.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (e.g., DUI, reckless driving) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of the local road networks and geography of the Fort Worth, TX area.
- Excellent time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a professional appearance.
