Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles on assigned routes within the Columbus metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Safely load and unload cargo, verifying inventory against delivery documents to ensure accuracy.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
- Handle all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and mileage logs.
- Provide outstanding customer service at each delivery stop, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area, adhering to company appearance standards.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws, as well as DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than one moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet strict delivery schedules.
- Familiarity with the Columbus, OH area and its road network is highly preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries.
