Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated stops on a pre-determined route.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing items to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, electronic logging devices (ELD), and customer signatures.
- Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUI or major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Familiarity with the Baltimore metropolitan area and local traffic patterns.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
