Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks to transport goods to various destinations throughout the Virginia region.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts for all stops.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and handle any special instructions or returns.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Tanker endorsement preferred but not always required).
- Able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong commitment to safety and punctuality.
- Basic computer skills for logging mileage and delivery status.
