Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery trucks to transport goods to designated customer locations safely and efficiently.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients and handling delivery inquiries.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and time schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- Current DOT medical card and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and occasional weekends.
