Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for overnight freight transport
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Maintain constant communication with dispatch and warehouse teams
- Optimize routes for efficiency and on-time delivery
- Handle hazardous materials training when required
- Represent Swift Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
- Night shift availability (6 PM - 6 AM schedule)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb trailer ladders
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Willingness to cross-train for Texas routes
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
