Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) for nighttime delivery routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for efficient route optimization and delivery confirmations
- Secure and verify cargo during transit and ensure proper unloading procedures
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations, company policies, and safety protocols
- Document delivery exceptions and maintain detailed service records
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento metro area and California highways
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Availability for consistent night shift schedule (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
