Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight within Chicago and surrounding regions
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and maintain shipment records
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Manage loading/unloading operations with dock staff when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago metropolitan roadways and traffic patterns
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement techniques
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work variable shifts including early mornings and weekends
