Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation and real-time traffic updates
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for timely load pickups/deliveries
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging
- Provide exceptional customer service at client locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Current DOT medical certification
- Proven experience with freight/dry van transport
- Strong knowledge of NYC metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical loading duties
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Twic card preferred but not required
