Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/refrigerated) in compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology for on-time deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance reports
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and industry standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Basic GPS and smartphone proficiency
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- No preventable accidents in the past 3 years
- TWIC card preferred for port access
