As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting high-value freight across the region while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% road readiness.
- Load and secure cargo using appropriate tie-downs and equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Deliver freight on time and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, traffic laws, and procedural guidelines.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with the required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples as applicable).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
