Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently on local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of San Diego area roads and geography.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
