Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper securement and handling.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required documentation (Bill of Lading, etc.) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and maintain a professional image at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding delays or route changes.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (clean driving record required).
- Current DOT Medical Card (Class 2 Medical).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of road maps and GPS navigation systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks required for loading/unloading.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
