Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct.
- Maintain accurate logs (HOS, DVIR) and ensure all delivery paperwork is completed and signed.
- Adhere to traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Physically capable of sitting for long periods and lifting heavy cargo.
