Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vans safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand tools, ensuring secure placement.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Physical required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of California roadways and traffic patterns.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
