Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles on local and regional delivery routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD), delivery receipts, and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
- Keep the truck cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEL) meeting DOT standards.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical ability test.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
