Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) while adhering to DOT regulations
- Transport goods across San Diego County and designated regional routes with punctuality
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse teams
- Ensure cargo security and compliance with all safety protocols
- Respond proactively to route changes and delivery schedule adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of California traffic laws and hazardous materials handling
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
