Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and efficient manner according to all DOT and company regulations.
- Load & Unload: Ensure cargo is loaded and secured properly, checking for damage before and after transit.
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards and report any mechanical issues.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary shipping papers, logs (ELD), and delivery receipts.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and clients at delivery sites, ensuring a positive experience.
- Route Planning: Adhere to assigned routes and schedules, finding the most efficient paths to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with the proper endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples if required).
- Clean Record: A current, clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than one (1) preventable accident in the last 3 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical Health: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to read and understand maps and delivery schedules.
