Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans within the Boston, MA and Virginia regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) according to DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and routes.
- Ensure the truck cabin and cargo area are kept clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to start immediately upon offer acceptance.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
