Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (dry van refrigerated) safely and efficiently across designated routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs
- Load/unload cargo securely using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route status or delays
- Represent the company professionally with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Charlotte regional roadways and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend shifts as needed
