Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A & Class B) safely and efficiently in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Navigate delivery routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and time schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, traffic laws, and cargo handling procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
