Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Unload cargo at delivery destinations using appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at various stops.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement and load handling procedures.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and occasional weekends if required.
